Licensed Benefit Consultant

You help people choose a Medicare plan that fits their doctors, drugs, and budget. You stay with them after they enroll.

The role

What the work looks like.

What you will do

  • Ask about each person’s doctors, prescriptions, budget, and priorities before you recommend anything.
  • Compare Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Part D plans from our carrier partners.
  • Explain costs, coverage, and trade-offs in plain language, without sales pressure.
  • Guide members through enrollment and answer the questions that come up afterward.
  • Complete required carrier certifications, annual training, and AHIP.
  • Follow CMS marketing and enrollment rules on every call.

What you bring

  • A current health insurance license in your state, with Medicare plan experience.
  • Knowledge of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D, and of enrollment periods.
  • The habit of listening first and recommending second.
  • Careful, honest documentation.

Helpful, not required

  • Experience in the Medicare market in more than one state.
  • Appointments with several carriers.
  • Fluency in Spanish or another language our members speak.
